Dockboards

Product Details

Dockboards are manufactured to the same standards and finish as Dockplates, with additional red painted, steel, safety side curbs.
Dockboards can carry heavier loads than Dockplates; standard carrying capacities range from 2,730kg to 6,300kg.
Standard models include:

Built-in antislip finish
Steel safety side curbs, painted red.
Single pair of locking legs to prevent movement of the plate during operation
Crowned and bevelled plate for smooth operation

Where a vehicle stands away from the loading dock and cannot get closer than 150mm, the option of adjustable spanlocks is provided, (see fig. 1 & fig. 2). This is an extra pair of locking legs, which move along the side curbs to prevent movement in conjunction with the standard locking legs.
If required, Dockboards can be manufactured with shortened locking legs to load containers at ground level, thus preventing the board moving forward. The backward movement of the ramp is prevented by chains and hooks at either side of the ramp which locate in the container locking points, (see fig. 3 & fig. 4).
